Procurement General Manager


Located in Guangzhou city.

Responsibilities:
·         Manage key procurement projects in China and abroad for foreign clients
·         Develop, execute and monitor standard procurement processes and procedures
·         Evaluate suppliers on their capability, experience and capacity
·         Lead the procurement team in managing supplier performance in procurement projects
·         Operations control of procurement activities to ensure quality and timeliness
·         Inter-departmental strategic alignment to meet company objectives
·         Recruit new personnel, develop and train procurement team
·         Coordinate Procurement Department work with other Departments and Functions
·         Oversee the development of Procurement Department databases and knowledge
·         Ensure company proposals to clients comply with all applicable contractual requirements
 
Requirements:
·         Bachelor degree or above in Electric Engineering or related major
·         Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement in electrinc area
·         At least 5 years of Procurement team management experience
·         Thorough technical knowledge in project management, procurement processes, quality control, logistics management
·         Strong connection with China-based suppliers in mining, heavy engineering or metal processing area
·         Overseas project management background strongly preferred
·         Overseas project bidding experience is a must
·         Awareness of the latest technical and developments in  heavy engineering industry
·         A good team leader with great execution capabilities
·         Good command of both spoken and written English & Mandarin
